Cultural Contacts and Liaison

Interkultur Foundation provides a cultural contacts and liaison service to anyone interested in Jakarta / Indonesia

Typically, it can be time consuming and confusing for foreigners seeking to meet with collaborators in Indonesia. Communication infrastructure and ways of working are different from, and generally slower, than in Western countries, finding locations is almost impossible without an expert guide and while many people speak some English there is still plenty of opportunity for miscommunication, especially if your proposal is complex or involves resources beyond the existing means of your chosen collaborators. Only expert locals can interpret whether someone really means 'yes' or is just being polite.
